When designing your car rental website, it’s important to share as much information as possible. This will help potential customers understand what your business has to offer, so they can make an informed decision about whether you’re the right company for them.
Want to showcase your fleet of vehicles? No problem. Need to share your rates and prices? Easy. FAQs , maps, and other important details? WordPress can handle it all.
But before you start adding all that awesome content, let’s talk about organization. Your website should be easy to navigate so that customers can find what they need quickly. This means setting up different pages for different types of information.
For example, you could create a page dedicated to your vehicles, where you display photos and descriptions. Another page could focus on rates and prices, including any offers you’re currently running.
Fortunately, it’s very easy to add more pages to WordPress. Just go to Pages » Add New Page .
This opens the WordPress content editor , where you can add a title, type body text, add a featured image, and more.
Once you are satisfied with the page, simply click the “Publish” button to make it live.

Step 7: Add a contact form
Want to help customers get line database in touch? A contact form is the answer!
It’s the easiest way for visitors to ask questions, voice concerns or make requests – whether they’re about bookings, rates or just want to provide helpful feedback.
The easiest way to add a contact form to your WordPress website is to use the WPForms plugin.

Once you install the plugin, you’ll notice that it comes with a ready-made Simple Contact Form template. You can quickly customize this form in the WPForms drag-and-drop editor.
Then, simply add the form to any page, post, or widget-ready area using the WPForms block. It’s that simple!
Step 8: Add a Click-to-Call Button
Have you added a contact form to your website yet? Great!
But sometimes, customers need 5 steps to creating an exceptional marketing plan you now. Think: car trouble, accidents – all the times when waiting for a response just isn’t enough.
That’s where the “click-to-call” button comes in. It allows people to dial your number with one click on their phone or computer, without having to type anything.
Even when it’s not an emergency, some people may prefer a phone call.
A click-to-call button makes it easy for these people to connect with your business, and more calls mean more bookings and more money in your pocket.

Step 9: Accept online reservations
This may be the most important clean email step for your car rental website. If you really want to grow your business, you absolutely must allow visitors to book vehicles directly on your website.
This is usually much quicker and easier than calling customer service or visiting the rental location in person. It’s better for the customer and for you.
There are a few ways to add online bookings, but I recommend the free VikRentCar plugin . Why? Because it’s designed specifically for car rental websites.
It’s packed with features you won’t find in generic booking plugins. This includes the option to set pick-up and drop-off locations, dates, and times for hassle-free booking.
You can also display your vehicles in a grid or list, making it easy for customers to navigate your entire fleet.
The first thing you need to do is install and activate the VikRentCar plugin on your website. There is also a premium version of the VikRentCar plugin that comes with extra features like rental restrictions, seasonal pricing, an integrated payment system for over 60 payment gateways, and more.

After activation, select “VikRentCar” from the left menu.
Here, you’ll see a setup wizard that will guide you through all the steps to get your online bookings up and running. Now, let’s go over those steps.
Configure your pricing plans
The first step is to set up your pricing plans. Be sure to think about the plan options you’d like to offer before proceeding.
For example, you might want a “Basic Plan” and perhaps another that includes renter’s insurance or other add-ons.
When you’re ready, click the “Configure” button under “Types of Price.”
You’ll need at least one pricing plan to display rates to your customers.
With that in mind, go ahead and click the “New Price” button.
Now, fill in the details of your first price type. You can also add attributes, but this is optional.
Once you are satisfied with the information you have entered, click the “Save” button.
Simply repeat these steps for all the pricing plans you want to offer.
Once done, click on the “Dashboard” icon to return to the main setup wizard.
List your rental cars
Now it’s time to create a profile for each car model in your fleet. Think of it as a little information sheet for each type of car you have.
To get started, click the “Configure” button under “Cars.”
Again, this will take you to a new screen.
Here, click on the “New Car” button.
Now, fill in all the details of that car. This includes:
- The name of the car.
- The total number of units you have.
- Whether he is available or not.
- Additional information you want to show potential customers, such as images.
Just go through this page and fill in all the information.
Don’t forget to click “Save” to store your changes.
Customize your car rental rates
When you click “Save”, VikRentCar will ask you to enter the daily rental cost for each pricing plan you created previously.
Simply enter the price for each plan and click “Insert Fares” to save this information.
Once you click “Insert Fares,” you will see a table where you can adjust your prices for specific rental periods for each price tier.
There are options for “Daily Rates”, “Overtime Charges” and “Hourly Rates”.
If you keep scrolling, you will see the default price.
By default, VikRentCar multiplies the daily rate by the number of rental days.
However, you can customize this by scrolling back to the “Daily Rates”, “Overtime Charges”, and “Hourly Rates” tabs and making some changes.
For example, you could offer a discount for rentals longer than 3 days and an even bigger discount after 7 days.
In this case, you would need to set specific prices for daily intervals 1-3, 3-7, and so on.
You can also add hourly rates to attract more clients.
As you enter different prices, the rate list below will update instantly.
This makes it easy to use different prices to see how it affects your total costs.
I recommend taking some time to explore the table and the different tabs. This will help you find the sweet spot: a price that is competitive for your customers, but also covers your costs and generates a profit.
Once you are happy with your prices, click “Quit Inserting” to return to the main dashboard.
Now, simply repeat these steps to add all the cars and pricing information to your website.
Choose your pick-up and drop-off times and locations
With that done, let’s set up your pickup and delivery times by selecting the calendar icon in the toolbar. Then, click “Calendar” from the drop-down menu.
Here you can set your pick-up and delivery times.
Once you are satisfied with the times, click the “Back” button.
Next, let’s add your locations.
Click the wrench icon in the toolbar and select ‘Pickup/Dropoff Locations’.
On the next screen, click the “New Location” button.
Now, you can enter all the details for each pickup and drop-off location you offer.
When you’re ready, just click “Save” to store your changes.
There are more settings you can explore, but this is enough to create a simple car rental system.
Add your booking calendar to your website
That said, it’s time to add the car rental booking calendar to your website using VikRentCar’s built-in shortcode generator. Click on the car icon to return to the main dashboard.
Then select the “Shortcodes” button.
On the next screen, select “New”.
This will take you to the shortcode builder.
The easiest way to create a shortcode is to select the content you want to display from the “Type” dropdown menu.
For example, you can select Locations List, Search Form, General Availability, Promotions, and more.
Typically, though, you’ll want to start by showing your available cars, so in that case you’ll need to select “Cars List” from the “Type” drop-down menu.
VikRentCar will show you some settings in “Details” where you can make some customizations.
Just work with these options and adjust them to your preference.
You can choose to display your vehicles in a list or a grid. You can also choose the order in which they appear and how many cars VikRentCars displays per page.
Once you’re happy with your shortcode setup, give it a descriptive name. This will help you identify the shortcode later in your dashboard.
